New Year is a time for goal setting and resolutions. Yet, many of us fail to achieve them. So why is this? And what can we do to aid our success?
The sub-conscious mind is the gateway to our potential. While our conscious mind handles logic, planning, and goal-setting (comprising only 5% of brain activity), the subconscious mind governs 95% of our day-to-day activities, influencing our habits, actions, emotions, beliefs and ultimately, our life experience.
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is one up and coming hybrid mind therapy gaining traction in the wellness world. Combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and hypnotherapy, RTT works at a subconscious level, helping to unravel WHY we feel like we do so we can move forward with clear intention, purpose and positivity.
Said Sue Solomou, RTT therapist in Maidenhead, “Lots of our negative subconscious thoughts such as “I’m not good enough, I’m not smart enough, I’m not lovable” were made based upon events and circumstances we experienced in our younger years. It is these limiting beliefs that keep us stuck in the past and limit our potential to become the best and happiest versions of ourselves.
“The aim of RTT is to help access the subconscious mind to clear out these limiting beliefs which stand in our way of achieving our true potential.”
So what can we do to achieve our goals?
Said Sophie Fraser, RTT therapist in Beaconsfield, “Before embarking on a journey of transformation, we must ask ourselves: What is the meaning and motivation behind our aspirations? And do we truly believe in our ability to achieve them? Setting goals is all well and good. Yet, if we don’t have the inherent self-belief to achieve them, self-sabotaging behaviours sneak in… our inner critic, perfectionist, imposter and procrastinator emerge as hurdles that hinder our progress.”
“I always start by asking myself, “what is the desired future I really want? Then I look at where I am and where I want to get to. I look at it as a journey, considering the obstacles and then formulating a plan to get there, attaching an emotion to that future version of myself I wish to become.”
Said Sue, “While we can’t change the past, it’s essential we don’t allow it to define us. Understanding the root cause of our issues through mind therapies such as RTT is not only empowering, it enables us to create a different story.”
The beauty of RTT is that it helps change our neural pathways, upgrading our thoughts and beliefs with long-lasting and even life changing effects.
