“Nutritional therapy is all about using the everyday tools of food and lifestyle to optimise good health. It’s about restoring balance to regain vitality and a sense of wellbeing to benefit yourself and your family.
“I’m a big fan of eating and cooking great simple, tasty food – a pleasure of life we should all enjoy. My own health and that of my family sparked my interest in the science behind what we intuitively know – that what we choose to eat every day, and how we live, has far-reaching effects on our long-term health. It sounds simple, but it can be hard to put into practice. We are all very different and no one style of eating suits everyone.
Many of us learn to live with feeling under par – symptoms such as fatigue, poor digestion, low mood or weight gain are just some of the messages that something is out of balance. Rather than ignoring or suppressing symptoms, better health is about asking ‘why’, looking to the cause to support lasting improvement.
There are many reasons why clients struggle to manage weight, digestion, energy levels and hormone changes – so we need to understand our particular symptoms in a holistic way to find an effective response. Embarking on a course of nutritional therapy is such a positive and rewarding experience which empowers clients to make confident choices. I love the fact that food is an everyday resource available to us all to make a real difference to our health.
My particular interest is in helping clients maintain a healthy weight, improve their gut health and digestion, and balance hormones, all of which are so important as the basis for a better quality of life. Most importantly, nutrition plans work alongside medical advice and are based on the latest scientific evidence.
I love to help clients embrace a way of eating that suits them, that they enjoy and that fits their lifestyle. No weird diets or cutting food groups, just good nourishing food, understanding your body, taking small steps and adopting healthy habits. To make sure nothing stands in the way I support my clients with strategies to use in daily life, to be accountable and reach their health goals.
