When we think of INSOMNIA we don’t necessarily think of a low level red light laser solving all your problems! Here however, Laser Therapist, Emma Seddon, encourages us to think again!
Laser therapy offers a safe, effective, lasting-relief and drugless treatment solution to insomnia symptoms (such as difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep or feeling the quality of sleep was inadequate).
There is no quick fix to improving sleep if you suffer. Too often the problem has existed for quite some time before its recognised there is a sleep problem! There is a very close connection between insomnia and anxiety. The two often feed off of each other in a back and forth manner. Anxiety leads to insomnia, and the lack of proper rest heightens anxiety. Hence sometimes the body needs a helping hand.. and that’s where laser therapy can help.
It’s non-invasive, doesn’t require a doctor’s prescription, and can be easily administered by me at my clinic or by yourself in the comfort if your own home, due to the portable hand-held, home use, low level cold laser therapy units that are provided as part of a robust 4 week sleep treatment package.

When you receive a Low Level Laser treatment, immediately your nervous system begins to calm down. The laser is doing deep work by unraveling your subconscious stresses, balancing your Qi (or vital energy), and releasing endorphins and dissolving the causes of your insomnia. This invokes the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible and so important in maintaining restorative sleep and repair.

The light-tissue interaction (photobiostimulation) promotes analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects and improves tissue healing, which could alleviate pain-related sleep problems and allow for a pain free and more comfortable nights sleep. It’s certainly beneficial to those individuals who suffer from poor sleep as a result of pain related conditions such as fibromyalgia, rheumatoid or osteo arthritis and many more.
