Treatment Review – Reiki Massage with Seed’s Gabby Lewis

February 7, 2023Seed AdminBlog

Having had many massages from many different therapists in my life, I was intrigued to experience a reiki massage treatment with Gabby Lewis, a highly accomplished bodywork therapist and reiki master, due to her deeply holistic and multidisciplinary approach.

Gabby works from her own private clinic space found in her beautiful garden room at her home in Henley as well as a clinic space in High Wycombe. Just walking down her garden path created a sense of walking away from the chaos of the world. Once inside, I lay down on a perfectly heated massage bed and noted the quiet stillness of the room. I felt instantly like I could relax.

Gabby is one of those therapists who works particularly intuitively, listening to the body and responding accordingly. While I love a deep massage, sometimes my body just isn’t ready or willing to open up and it can feel jarring.

Instead, Gabby observed my reaction to her touch and she responded accordingly, moving with the pace that my body was willing and able to go. Subsequently, I was able to truly relax and let go – something that is so important to do to help maintain positive health and wellbeing.

The reiki element was interesting… This ancient energy healing technique aids relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch, helping to rebalance the energy and nervous systems that are knocked off-centre by day-to-day stress. I could feel the reiki energy flowing from Gabby’s hands and it felt like a subtle yet powerful way to enable the massage to work more deeply.

I left feeling calm, centred and ready to face the world.

SUMMARY – With a focus on addressing psychological, emotional and physical needs, I found Gabby’s treatment provided a great balance between unlocking physical tension while also being relaxing and restorative. The reiki element brings a deeper level of healing which you can feel working long after you have left the treatment room.

Gabby works in Henley, Marlow and High Wycombe, providing a range of massage therapy & bodywork treatments including Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports, Reset & Reiki. All of Gabby’s treatments aim to help heal and rebalance body, mind & spirit. For more information or to book, visit www.seedwellness.co.uk/gabriellalewis
