Do you have a specific dream, goal or new year resolution you wish to achieve in 2023? Do you set lots of goals in your life, be it health, career or life in general, but feel you never quite reach them?
As most successful people will confirm, in order to get to where you wish to go, it’s IMPERATIVE to have a plan. In fact, it is the key contributing factor to achieving success. Similar to a car journey, you may know your destination but without a road map, you will most likely get lost along the way.
Whatever area of your life you wish to improve, be it getting fitter or healthier, receiving a promotion or changing career; finding your life purpose or even travelling the world, we asked our team of coaches at Seed Wellness to share their top tips on how to guarantee you reach your goals successfully in 2023!
Said Izzy Walton, Health Coach in Marlow, “The first step to creating a plan for success is to be sure your goal aligns with your expectations and purpose. Then take time to consider whether it is:
a) Achievable
b) Realistic
c) Sustainable
Said Jo Bishop, Personal Coach in Beaconsfield, ‘Refocus on your goal again and again whilst considering the following:
a) Avoid ‘all or nothing thinking’ – A chocolate cupcake in a moment is not the end of the diet. You can make up for it tomorrow.
b) Be kind to yourself. What are three things you have done for others this week? And what about yourself?
c) Reframe adversity – Positive psychologists describe mental toughness as helping us to see adversities as opportunities to overcome, grow and learn from rather than threats to our confidence.
Said Suzy Malhotra, Career & Resilience Coach in Maidenhead, “Writing your ideas down is really powerful. Journal them, asking yourself:
a) Why do I want to achieve this goal?
b) How will I feel when I achieve this goal?
c) What is stopping me from achieving this goal right now?”
