She is a member of the Bowen Therapy Professional Association (BTPA)
Barbara has always been interested in holistic treatments and came to Bowen by chance whilst visiting a herbalist, who incorporated a series of Bowen moves into her general treatment. The result became Life changing.
“As a teenager I had a nasty fall from my horse after which I struggled with back pain for many years. This was made worse when my first baby was born breech. I was in constant pain yet had small children to look after. I gradually developed aches and pains in my shoulder and other places as my body attempted to compensate for the initial injury. I had tried practically every therapy – all helped in some way but nothing made the change that Bowen did. It felt as though my back was moving around of its own accord and over time I was finally repairing and strengthening in a different way.
Nothing pleases me more then when Bowen enables people to live without pain because I know how debilitating pain can be. I love how it promotes self-repair. If it works for you, it can be a wonderful treatment.”
Barbara offers treatments in her private room in Beaconsfield Old Town.
