Helen offers counselling in Beaconsfield and the surrounding areas. Highly experienced in counselling children and adults, she works out of a private, safe and non-judgemental space in Beaconsfield.
Helen is a qualified person centred counsellor and has been practicing for 6 years. She is a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy).
“As a person centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert in ‘you’, but you may have lost yourself along the way due to experiences you have had.
I firmly believe that talking things through in a confidential and impartial atmosphere will help you to see things more clearly. The act of sharing your thoughts and worries can be a pathway to absorbing and accepting them, working through them and eventually being able to deal with them (in whatever form that may take).
My style is to offer a relaxed, safe and non-judgemental space to talk about whatever it is that may be bringing you to seek counselling. My way of working is to be led by you and what you need, be it a person centred approach, or perhaps some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as a tool to help you manage your thoughts and feelings – always in a way that feels right for you.
I abide by the BACP code of ethics where confidentiality is paramount, allowing you to talk about whatever it is that is on your mind, at your own pace and within your own timeframes.
If you feel you would like to find out more for yourself or for someone within your family, please call me for a chat over the phone and we can book a session. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions, and I will work with you for as long or as short a time as you feel is appropriate.
I hold full professional liability insurance and I have a clear enhanced DBS check. I regularly attend training courses, workshops and seminars on a wide range of topics.
I offer counselling sessions in a relaxed and informal setting in Beaconsfield, at times agreed between us. We agree the frequency of the sessions according to your needs. I am also very happy for you to pick up the phone and speak to me about whatever is troubling you – sometimes a quick 10 minute chat can help to reassure you that you’re on the right track or making the right decisions.
Price: Sessions are £50 for 1 hour (Concessions for young people).
